reproduce in their natural environment.
Overview & Teachers’ Guide.
The Venus flytrap, Dionaea muscipula, is a good example of a green plant that has made an unusual adaptation to obtain the nutrients that it needs to be able to grow. Additional teacher's notes Use the Venus flytrap animation to engage the students in an initial discussion centred upon the question 'How does adaptation enable living organisms to survive and reproduce in their natural environments?' You may also use the animation to suggest starting points for the students' own research. |
