The panel on the right contains three animations of the Venus flytrap:

• capturing a fly,
• demonstrating the trigger mechanism,
• digesting a fly.

Click 'Capture', 'Trigger' and 'Digest' above the animation to load each of them in turn. Click the buttons under the animation to play, pause, stop, rewind and fast forward as required.

Click 'ENLARGE' to see a larger version of the animation (note: this may take longer to download). Click 'NORMAL VIEW' to return to this page.

When you have watched each of the animations, click through the tabs at the top of this panel: 'Inform', 'Question', 'Challenge' and 'Hypothesise'. The 'Links' section has some useful websites to help you with your research.
